Candidates seeking admission into the University of Ilesa (UNILESA) for the 2026/2027 academic session are being advised to take note of a recent development concerning Change of Institution on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal.
A screenshot currently circulating shows an error message on the JAMB system stating that candidates can no longer select the University of Ilesa because the institution has been blocked for admission.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR APPLICANTS
Candidates who did not previously select UNILESA as their first-choice institution may currently be unable to change their institution to UNILESA through the JAMB portal.
This is particularly important because UNILESA's 2026/2027 admission requirements state that candidates who did not initially choose the university as their first choice are required to effect a Change of Institution to UNILESA through the JAMB portal before applying for the university's Post-UTME screening.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO 2026/2027 APPLICANTS
Candidates who have already chosen UNILESA as their first choice are advised to continue with the admission process as required.
Those who are yet to change to UNILESA should monitor the JAMB portal and official UNILESA channels for any further update on the situation.
Applicants should avoid paying anyone who claims to have a special way of bypassing the JAMB restriction.
UNILESA's official 2026/2027 Post-UTME information currently states that the screening application remains open until 30th September 2026.
