Candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions for the 2026/2027 academic session can check their admission status through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
JAMB CAPS allows candidates to confirm whether their chosen institution has recommended them for admission and whether JAMB has approved the admission.
HOW TO CHECK YOUR ADMISSION STATUS
Step 1:
Visit the official JAMB e-Facility portal.
[JAMB e-Facility Portal] https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng

Your current admission status will be displayed on the screen.
WHAT THE ADMISSION STATUS MEANS
CONGRATULATIONS, YOU HAVE BEEN OFFERED ADMISSION
This means you have been offered admission through JAMB CAPS. You should proceed to accept the admission offer if you are satisfied with it.
ADMISSION IN PROGRESS / RECOMMENDED FOR ADMISSION
This means your admission is still being processed. Candidates with this status should remain patient and continue checking their CAPS regularly.
NOT ADMITTED
This means you have not been offered admission at the time of checking. However, if the admission process is still ongoing, this does not necessarily mean that you will not be admitted. Institutions may continue uploading admission lists in batches.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Candidates should not panic if their school has started releasing admission lists but their JAMB CAPS has not yet changed. Admission offers may take some time to reflect on CAPS after the institution processes and forwards candidates for admission.
Candidates are also advised to ensure that their O’Level results are properly uploaded to their JAMB profiles, as this may be required for admission consideration.
Keep checking your JAMB CAPS and your institution's admission portal regularly for updates.
